idX Corporation

In the Summer of 2016, I worked as a mechanical engineering intern at idX Corporation. idX is one of the largest retail environment manufacturers and the single largest that specializes in multi-location roll-outs. idX designs and fabricates custom fixtures from small table-toppers to store-wide shelving units. During my internship, I worked to convert hand-drawn sketches into 3D models and shop-ready drawing files. I modeled parts for a variety of clients, as can be seen below. This internship allowed me to see how a corporate engineering company functions, and I also learned the proper method to efficiently create 3D models and factory-readable drawings.
