Hello, I'm Marios.
I live at the intersection of permaculture principles, engineering, art, and technoeconomics. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Entrepreneurship & Innovation. My interests revolve around practical applications where technology, nature, mycology, and sustainable farming meet. Especially in semi-arid environments.
Currently, I work full time as the Farm Developer at OPUS Cactus in Groningen, The Netherlands.
My past professional experiences include various 3D-related activities including 3D printing, and design. I also have worked at the Fungi Foundation as the Tech Lead and in Development & Partnerships for a few years.
80% of the time you can find me either in Brazil, Greece, or on a sidequest.
Places I have visited for work, agricultural and ecological projects, cultural exploration, and personal travel over the last few years.
The project I am most proud of: the ongoing regeneration of a one-acre (4,000 m²) piece of previously overgrazed land in Sifnos, Greece. A lifelong experiment in ecological restoration, observation, and self-exploration.
